(CNS) Michael Novak, a Catholic philosopher, theologian and author who was highly regarded for his religious scholarship and intellectual independence, died on February 17 at his home in Washington. He was 83.
His daughter Jana Novak told The Washington Post the cause of death was complications from colon cancer. No funeral arrangements were announced.
Since last August, Novak had been a faculty member of The Catholic University of America’s Tim and Steph Busch School of Business and Economics in Washington.
