Stefano Cabizza, an information technology student in Padua, Italy, received a phone call from Pope Francis in a surprising display of familiarity.
Stefano had left a letter for the pontiff following a mass, where he described his life and expressed hopes that he would find a job at the end of his studies.
Pope Francis has already rung several people who have written to him or suffered a personal tragedy.
The 76-year-old is said to like placing his own calls using landlines and often surprises the person on the other end, announcing: â€œItâ€™s the popeâ€
Hilariously, the Pope could not reach Stefano on his first attempt because he was not at home, and had to try a second time.
Stefano said the phone call was “a fantastic experience.
