Snoop Dogg Has Spiritual Rebirth, Changes Name to Snoop Lion

The King of Gin and Juice recently underwent a spiritual and artistic rebirth in Jamaica and was given a new nickname by Rastafarian priests.

“I want to bury Snoop Dogg, and become Snoop Lion” Snoop told journalists at a news conference in New York.

“I didn’t know that until I went to the temple, where the High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said, ‘Snoop Dogg.’ And he looked me in my eyes and said, ‘No more. You are the light; you are the lion.’ From that moment on, it’s like I had started to understand why I was there. There comes a point where you say I done it all, or there isn’t much more to do,” he said. “This was like a rebirth for me.

Snoop is currently working on a new album, Reincarnated, which will be strictly reggae.
