After watching this video about the former Catholic priest converting to the muslim faith, I have these comments:
1)Isn’t this website a location for a promotion of a Catholic world view? If so, then this video does not belong here.
2)The ex-priest talks about not being able to marry and then he develops an experience of the Muslim faith. Perhaps, as the saying goes, his heart was restless until he rested in God. He needed a deeper experience of God. He only tells us about a prayer life and sharing his new Muslim faith. A Christian should have a deep prayer life and share his faith with others. So why convert?
3)In converting to a Muslim, the former priest no longer believes: that God so loved the world that he sent His only begotten Son. It is through this Son, Jesus, that we have life. This new Muslim believes that God should be respected as do we Christians.
4)Christians believe in a God who should be respected, but who wants us to have a personal relationship with him. As Catholics, we believe Jesus when he said He is life. He also said: we must eat His body and drink His blood; if not, we will not have life within us. This understanding of God shows how deeply personal God is and how much we must honor him. The ex-priest seems to have lost this or perhaps never had this opportunity to rest in God.
You go with the wind. Thank for leaving the priesthood. Don’t need brainless priests to influence other good Catholics. Islam is nothing but hearesy with their false beliefs.
