Fargo diocese to open chapel near abortion clinic

Fargo Bishop Samuel Aquila has commissioned the diocese to open a chapel near North Dakota’s only abortion clinic.

The chapel to be open each day that coincides when abortions are performed at the Red River Women’s Clinic, KFGO reports.

In a written statement, clinic manager Sarah Haeder said “It doesn’t matter who moves in next door, across the street, or down the block. We are a safe haven for women to consider what they need to do with this pregnancy and for their lives.”

The chapel will open on June 1. The bishop chose the chapel’s location because of its close proximity to the clinic.
