Nuts! Everyone is subject to authority; soldiers to their commanding officers and priests to their ordinary. Without obedience and submission we are lost and so are those we are supposedly helping. 30 years? God help the parishioners who are due and earned a change.
This is a private matter between the priest and his bishop.
